      The R-value of magnesium board, or MgO board, depends on its thickness and composition. On average, MgO boards offer an R-value 1.2  per inch of thickness. For instance, a 12 mm (approx. 0.47 inch) thick MAXTERRA MgO panel would have an R-value of 0.56.
